To God be all the glory as CCT hosted this year’s Micah Global 7th Triennial Consultation!
What a blessing it is to have fellowship with more than 300 delegates from 68 countries who attended the week-long event at the CCT Tagaytay Retreat and Training Center last September 10-14, 2018. The CCT Salinlahi Dance Ministry welcomed the delegates with a performance of traditional Filipino dances.
Each day has a specific main topic connected to this year’s theme—Integral Mission and Resilient Communities: Addressing Poverty, Injustice, and Conflict. Selected delegates showcased their God-given talents by performing spoken word, drama, and poetry related to the day’s main topic. This was followed with worship and reflection led by Dr. Melba Maggay, CB Samuel, Ruth Padilla DeBorst, and Johannes Reimer.
Indeed, this week has been filled with learning and insight sharing through the plenaries and consultation groups focusing on Resilience in God’s Mission, Resilience in Pursuing Justice, Resilience in Compassion, Resilience in Disasters, and Resilience in Partnership. There were also different learning zones where the delegates had the opportunity to teach one another based on their expertise and experiences.
The closing ceremony was marked by the turning over of the Micah flag to Africa who will be the host for the next Micah Global Consultation in 2021. Post-consultation forums will happen until September 16, 2018.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
