Tertulia Para sa Bayan: Revisiting the Philippine History

CCT celebrates our 123rd Independence Day!

On June 12 via online gathering, a “Tertulia Para sa Bayan” was organized by the CCT Group to artistically express in prayer, poetry, songs, and storytelling some of the most riveting declarations of our nation’s heroes. As we revisit the past, we honor the nobility of the Filipino spirit and the heroism of our race.

Hosted by the CCT Support Office and rolled out by the area offices nationwide via zoom meeting, the program highlights the depth of love for the Philippines with excerpts played from Jose Rizal’s Mi Ultimo Adios, Andres Bonifacio’s Pag-Ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa, Jose Corazon de Jesus’ Bayan Ko, Apolinario Mabini’s End and Fall of the Revolution, Gary Granada’s Tagumpay Nating Lahat, among others.

All these legacies of our history are being commemorated as we develop a deeper sense of patriotism and carry on towards shaping a better nation for every Filipino.

Capped by a finale solidarity song, The Dawn's Iisang Bangka, the CCT generations, young ones and once young alike, truly enjoyed embracing our passion for God, passion for the Philippines, and passion for the Filipino Poor!

Mabuhay ang ating Inang Bayan!
