CCT Honors Fellow Missionaries in its Annual CCT Day of Remembrance

On the first Saturday of May, CCT Group commemorates the Day of Remembrance to honor the lives of kaibigans (former street dwellers), staff, and corporate members who went home to be with the Lord and left a legacy of faithful servanthood.

This year’s tribute, held last May 1 and connected via zoom meeting across CCT areas nationwide became a virtual worship and fellowship. The program was hosted in the Kaibigan Chapel of Remembrance in CCT Lupang Pangako, Kalikid Norte, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Among the highlights was the Enshrinement and Remembrance of the lives of the departed, led by Pastor Rolly Dacanay and Pastor Graciano Corpuz.

Every year, families of the departed staff were invited to spend this day with the CCT family. This year, CCT was inspired by the testimony of David Ombao, son of the late Dra. Natividad Ombao, a long-time CCT volunteer in health and wellness programs. According to him, his mother exemplified the character of Jesus in serving the poor.

CCT remains committed to honoring the good fight of faith of its departed brethren not only during the Day of Remembrance but every day as an inspiration in its work of transformation.
