CCT Paglingap Caring for the Communities

"Throughout this devastating experience, community partners and co-workers selflessly welcomed evacuees into their own homes. More than 100 community servant leaders gladly volunteered to help with relief operations and the clean-up of the CCT Tagaytay Retreat and Training Center," said Ruth S. Callanta, CCT president and founder.

Amid the aftermath of the Taal Volcano eruption in January 2020, CCT, through its Paglingap program assisted over 2,000 families with relief items and medical check-ups. The aid was not confined to CCT community partners alone, but also to the neighboring communities from 24 areas in Tagaytay, 13 areas in Cavite, and two areas in Batangas. With the kind and generous support from various donors, these families were provided with food, rice, and water.

The relief operations also became opportunities to share God's Word and encouragement.

CCT continues to collaborate with the LGUs and like-minded organizations in finding ways to rehabilitate the communities, help them recover their businesses, and create other income-generating activities.
